Departments provide you with a way to group your studio employees by what they do. Creating departments in Spectra allows you to assign emails and tasks to a group of people, rather than a specific individual.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN USER GROUPS
AND DEPARTMENTS?
Use Departments to group your studio users by their role and then assign tasks and emails to a department as well as an individual user. Departments are created in Maintenance > Studio > Departments. Assign your studio users to a Security Group to define their security level, allowing you to control access to various parts of Spectra for a group of users. Security groups are set up in Maintenance > Studio > Security Groups. |
First, create departments by going to Maintenance > Studio > Departments. Then, choose one or more departments for each user on the Departments tab in Maintenance > Studio > Users.
