The Home page in Spectra is where critical daily information is displayed. The Home page is divided into customizable panels for your Calendar, Tasks, Phone Calls, Web Services, Today’s Snapshot, and Weather Forecast. You can also add information for InSpiredByYou.com to the Web Services panel if you are signed up for that service.
The Home Page
The Schedule panel of the Home page displays the logged in user's upcoming appointments and sessions for the next three days. Double-click any appointment or session to view that record. See the “Working with the Calendar” chapter for more information.
Create a Task list and keep track of when these tasks are due for yourself and other users. Click the appropriate space to enter a new task or double-click to record more detailed information regarding the task. Tasks continue to roll forward on the calendar until you click the box indicating that the task has been completed. Overdue tasks are marked with a clock. Urgent tasks are marked with an exclamation mark. A personal task can only be viewed by the person to whom the task is assigned. For more information on tasks visit the Task Section.

HERE'S A FLASH FOR YOU!
Use the Task feature to alert your staff of new items they need to complete. Spectra has a task notification feature. If you create a new task and assign it to another user or reassign an existing task in Spectra, the computer that the assigned user is logged in on will receive a notification that a new task was assigned to them. It's a great way to notify your staff immediately of new task items. |
View your phone calls for the day. Double-click a phone call to view or complete a call. See the "Working With Communications" section for more information.
The Today’s Snapshot panel gives you real-time data on your studio. Double-click any number or bar in the graph to drill down and see the records that are behind the numbers.
Weather is always changing, unpredictable, and can ruin your shoot. This panel is designed to give you a reading on the weather, so you can plan accordingly.
The Web Services panel shows you a snippet of what is happening with your online services. This section works with your InspiredByYou.com, SMS text messaging, and HoldMyMemories.com accounts.
Each Spectra user can customize their Home page to display the information that is critical for them to view. Click Customize Page to set your Home page preferences. This choice also allows you to add panels that may not appear by default, such as the Web Services panel. The Home page can also be restricted by using the Security Groups feature to limit what information certain employees are allowed to view.
