In addition to the Home page, Spectra features work areas, called "hubs," for Workflow, Calendar, Clients, Sessions, Invoices, Calls, Messages, Tasks, and Production, as well as the Dashboard. Depending on the product you own, some of these hubs may not be available.
The Spectra menu bar is a great tool to go behind the scenes. You can customize almost anything from the Maintenance menu, get around quickly from the Go menu, or do your reporting from the Reports menu. Also, you can find your "Change User" functions and "Time Clock" in the File menu.
The Spectra hub menu is the main way to navigate through Spectra. Click a menu item to navigate to a different hub. Each Spectra hub can also be accessed by using Go menu (located above the hub menu), or it's corresponding function key (listed on the Go menu).
Customizable shortcuts will quickly bring you to other commonly used areas within Spectra, launch external applications, or open websites. Access the shortcut list by clicking the small arrow just to the right of the Dashboard menu item.
To customize your shortcuts, open the shortcut list and select Add User Shortcut.
Or, you can go to Maintenance > Preferences > User Preferences and click Define User Shortcuts.
Click Add to add a new shortcut.
Select if this shortcut is Internal or External. Internal shortcuts will create a shortcut to another screen in Spectra. External shortcuts will open another program or website.
Enter a Description for this shortcut. This is how it will appear on the shortcut list in Spectra. For internal shortcuts there is a list of available shortcuts.
For external shortcuts you must also select the path. If you are creating a shortcut to another program you should browse to that program's EXE file. If the shortcut is for a website you should enter the web address (https://secure.studioplussoftware.com for example).
To enter company-wide shortcuts go to Maintenance > Studio > Studio Shortcuts.
