New features have been added for school photographers, such as yearbook image selection, yearbook CD creation, and new group capture features for shooting tethered. New meta data tags can be applied as the images are captured, allowing for more powerful image cataloging and searching. The new Data Archive Utility allows studios to archive old data. And the new Control Center allows studios to schedule automatic database backups and synchronizations with MyStudioPlus.com. Other new features have also been included based on customer feedback and suggestions.

Pricing and Availability

StudioPlus 2008 is now shipping with StudioPlus’ full line of software products, Lite, Professional, Enterprise and OnLocation. StudioPlus Lite retails starting at $795 and Professional at $1,695. The Enterprise Version is designed for studios, chains, and franchises that require tight data integration with a Corporate Office. The OnLocation Version is an add-on product designed for studios that do on-location and event photography.
