New name, new look, and great new features! StudioPlus Spectra 2012 Volume 1 is jam-packed with many exciting new features* that our clients have requested. Spectra 2012 gives users powerful new marketing features designed to give studios the competitive advantage they need to build successful photography studios.

New Name and Updated Look
The StudioPlus flagship product has been given a new name in 2012 – Spectra. The new name reflects the full spectrum of management tools that StudioPlus Spectra provides to photography studios, from complete business management to full digital workflow, in a single solution. In addition to the new name, Spectra 2012 also has an updated look and feel. Check it out!

New SMS Text Messaging
Spectra 2012 now includes SMS text messaging abilities. With text messaging, studios can send individual texts to clients, send bulk texts to a large group of clients, or send triggered texts based on the status updates. Replies sent by the client are also received directly into Spectra and attached to the client's record. SMS text messaging fees apply.
Enhanced Email Abilities
Spectra 2012 contains many new email features, including the ability for Spectra to receive incoming email. Emails will automatically be attached to the correct client, when possible. A new "Messages Hub" has been created which can act as your studio's new email and SMS text messaging inbox. Email signature abilities have also been added to allow individuals to add personalized signatures to their outgoing emails.
Enhanced Tasks
The current To-Do tracking abilities have been renamed as "Tasks" and have been significantly enhanced. Tasks can now be attached to individual records, like clients, sessions, invoices, etc. A new "Tasks Hub" has been added, giving greater management controls to the studio.
New Communication Wizard
A new communication wizard has been added, giving users the ability to send emails, SMS text messages, create phone call records, or print letters.
New Credit Card Processing Options
A new credit card processing routine has been introduced that allows studios to process credit cards with Merchant Warehouse without Spectra ever touching or storing the credit card number. This allows Spectra to be removed from PCI-Compliance scope. Utilizing this new feature makes PCI-Compliance much simpler for studios to attain.

Control Center as a Service
The Spectra Control Center can now be run as a Windows service, giving greater control and flexibility over that application.
InSpiredByYou.com Enhancements
Many new features have been added to Spectra to accommodate the new version of InSpiredByYou.com (formerly called MyStudioPlus.com). The new features include the ability to upload wedding/event contracts for e-signatures, to upload albums for online proofing, to share Animoto® videos online, to upload prepaid orders for online image selection, to download image favorites from InSpired to Spectra, plus much more.
