*Note - These steps are for the error with outgoing email only. For incoming email, please refer to this page and the incoming section. These steps require you to log your Gmail account, please ensure you are using the correct email address. You will need to create a new App Password as the existing one has expired.
1. In Gmail, go to your Google icon and click on it. Then click on Manage my Google Account. Once there go to the Security tab and click on it. 2. Click the arrow pointing to the left next to 2-Step Verification 3. This brings you back to the Security tab--to the right of App passwords, hit the right pointing arrow. **If you do not see App Password, use the search box and type in App Password.
4. Click the downward pointing arrow to the right of Select app 5. Select Other (Custom name) 6. In the box e.g YouTube on my Xb, type in any name you like and then click Generate 7. Highlight and copy the password from Your app password for your device. DO NOT CLOSE THAT WINDOW YET 8. Back in myStratus/Spectra, paste that password in the Logon Password box 9. Hit the ok button to close out of that window and try to send an email. The error should not longer appear. Once you have a successful email sent you can close out of the app password in Gmail.
