Use the settings on this tab to select specific imaging software, image paths (to override the studio default), and projection settings for each computer as needed.

Image Paths Override

NOTE: This feature is available in the Professional and Enterprise version of Spectra.

Note:  Most users should make sure nothing is entered here.  It is designed for users who work from another location outside the studio, or can't access the location where images are normally stored.

Digital Applications

• Capture Software - Browse and select the path to the capture software installed on this workstation. This is only used if you'll import images using your camera's capture software instead of the software's import utility.

• Image Editor - Browse and select the path to the image editing software installed on this workstation (i.e., the Photoshop .EXE program file). The software will use this path to launch your editing software for retouch.

• Lightroom Path - Browse and select the path to Adobe Lightroom on this workstation (i.e., the Lightroom .EXE program file). The software will use this path if you choose to open images in Lightroom for pre-touch and organization.

Sales Presentations

Calibrate Projector - If this workstation has a projector or large screen monitor, you can calibrate the projector/monitor so the software displays the correct image size in the sales presentation. Click Calibrate Projector and move the black box to the center of your screen. Then measure the height and width of the box and enter the measurements into the software.

Color Profile Setup - You can have the software use a specific color profile for your particular monitor. Click Color Profile Setup to open the following window.

• Check the box to Enable Color Management.

• Click on the Primary Monitor Profile browse button ("..."). Navigate to where your profiles are stored and select the one that should be used for your primary monitor.

• If you have a secondary monitor or projector, select a profile for it as well.

• If you have questions about where your profiles are stored or how to install more, consult your Windows documentation. New monitors usually install the profiles when the drivers are installed.

Dual Monitor Default - If you have a second monitor installed and set up in Windows, you may want your sales presentations to always start in dual screen mode. This setting controls the default mode your presentations start in. You can always change back to single screen mode during a presentation without coming back to this setting.

Composite Templates

NOTE: This feature is available in the Standard, Professional, and Enterprise versions of myStratus Desktop. Spectra does not include this feature.

Check this box to Cache Image Graphics Locally. Select Get Now to download previously uploaded templates and Clear Cache to delete existing cached templates.

Image Editing

Mouse Wheel Zooming - Use the slider to adjust how much zoom is applied when you use the scroll wheel. Use the Smoother side of the scale to zoom just a little bit at a time. See also: Cropping Images

64-Bit Rendering

Note: This feature is only available in the Professional and Enterprise versions of both Spectra SQL and myStratus Desktop. Spectra databases using Access do not contain this feature.

Select Install 64-Bit Rendering Engine to install a new rendering engine that is faster and will utilize more RAM on the PC. This helps avoid "Out of Memory" errors that may occur when rendering otherwise. This affects rendering through Spectra, myStratus, and StudioPlus Finale. If running StudioPlus Finale, this rendering only needs to be installed on the designated workstation running Finale.
                                                                                                      

ATTENTION! The 64-Bit Rendering Engine can only be installed on computers that have a 64-bit Operating System. To check what type of operating system your PC is running, search for This PC on your Start menu > 'Right Click' > Properties. Under System Type it should list if this PC is a 64-bit.
