Processing Triggers

NOTE: This feature is available in the Professional and Enterprise versions of both Spectra and myStratus Desktop.

ATTENTION!

These pages apply to the 2017 version or greater of Spectra and myStratus only. If you are running an earlier version (2016 or before), click here to view instructions for triggers.

To actually process (or "run") the triggers you've created, follow these steps:

Manually

  1.  Go to the Tools menu and select Process Triggers. A list of triggers that are currently active (meaning they match trigger criteria) will be displayed.

  1.  Click to open each group of triggers. You have the option to Process, Skip, or Delete each triggered item. Note: You can also use the icons above the list to Process AllSkip All, or Delete All

Note: From this list you can also double-click on a triggered item (i.e., client, invoice, appointment, session, etc.) to open it for preview.

  1.  Click Process to complete processing the selected items. This will generate the calls, letters, emails, text messages, web forms, and tasks that have been defined for each trigger.

Automatically

  1. Make sure the trigger is set to Have the Control Center automatically process these triggers for me. This option can be found by going to Maintenance > General > Triggers > General (tab) within the opened triggerThis option sets that trigger to be automatically processed via the Control Center. Note: Triggers set to process automatically will still appear in the Tools > Process Triggers menu and can be deleted from there as well.

ATTENTION!

Spectra Users: In order to have the Control Center automatically process triggers, the Process Triggers job MUST be set up in the control center. See Control Center for more information on setting up that job.

myStratus Users: The Control Center runs from the StudioPlus servers so the Process Triggers job is already set up and running. So long as a trigger is checked to run through the Control Center, then it will automatically be processed the next time that the job runs.
