Custom Labels and Lists

StudioPlus has many custom fields to store information specific to your studio's needs. Custom fields can be used in calendar descriptions, filters, form letters, and HTML emails. You can also display and sort by them on the hubs.  

Use Custom Labels and Lists maintenance to change how these fields are labeled in the software. Go to Maintenance > General (Studio) > Custom Labels.

  • Client - Client records have custom fields on the General tab and the Custom tab. On the General tab, you'll find four short text fields and two date fields. On the Custom tab are,  you may choose from a mix of short text fields, date fields,  notes fields, check-boxes.   Notes fields can store an almost unlimited amount of text.  Note the slide bar.

 

  • Session - Session custom fields contain a mix of short text fields, date fields, notes fields, and check-boxes.

  • Invoice - Invoice custom fields contain a mix of short text fields, date fields, and check-boxes.

  • Payments -  Payment custom fields contain a mix of short text fields, date fields, and check-boxes.

  • Appointment -  Appointment custom fields contain a mix of short text fields, date fields, and check-boxes.

  • Production - Production orders have a Custom tab for all custom fields - you'll find a mix of short text fields, date fields, notes fields, and check-boxes.

  • Tasks - Tasks also have a Custom tab for all custom fields.  This tab contains a mix of short text fields, date fields, and check-boxes.

  • Organization - Organization fields are on the Custom tab of the Organization maintenance screen with a mix of short text fields, date fields, notes fields, and check-boxes.

  • Phone Calls -  Phone call fields are on the Custom -  a mix of short text fields and date fields.

  • Users - The user fields are available on the Custom tab of the Users maintenance screen and contain a mix of short text fields and date fields.

  • Location -  Location fields are available on the Custom tab of the Location maintenance screen with four short text fields.  Note: this is only available for Enterprise Clients.

  • Price List Item - Price list fields are located on the Custom tab of the Price List Item maintenance screen and contain a mix of short text fields, date fields, and check-boxes

 An optional Drop Down is now available for each Custom Label.  To add the new Pick List:

1. To add to a drop-down pick list to a custom text box, click the + button.


  

2. Type the Value that should be in the drop down-box
  
3. Press “Enter” to save change(s).
4. Optionally, if you wish to display one thing to your user, but actually store something different in the database, you can use the Value column. For example, set the Description to "May" but the Value to "5." 5.Select Limit to List in the ribbon to require employees to choose an option from the drop down rather than entering their own custom pick.
6. To delete the drop-down option, click the – on Custom Label and Lists Maintenance.
