FAQ: Why is my Dymo 550 not working after a Windows Update on Windows 10 or 11?

Windows did an update that causes the DYMO to print blank labels from Stratus., because this is  outside the scope of our technical support policy, screenshots and complete step by step instructions are not possible.  If you need help with this, please contact an IT Person.

Current status: issues with printing blank labels from our software, due to latest Windows update.

What’s required: update your software for DYMO Connect, DYMO Label Software, or Dymo ID (XTL).

Instructions: to run the latest software update in DYMO Connect, please open it, click "Help", "Check for Updates" and download the latest version. Alternatively, you can download the newest version of our software DYMO Connect

If that doesn't work, the Windows Update causing the issue will need to be removed.

Click on the Windows Start and type in This PC but don't click in it, instead ,to the right find Properties and select that

Scroll down to Windows specifications and take note on the version.

You will need to uninstall the update according to the version you have installed.

For Windows 10 version 1909 – remove -> (KB5000808)

For Windows 10 version 2004 – remove -> (KB5000802)

For Windows 10 version 20H2 – remove -> (KB5000802)

For Windows 10 version 1809 – remove -> (KB5000822)

To locate them, go to Windows Start and type in Updates and click on it

Then click on View Update History.

Find the update according to your version above.

Once complete, reboot the computer.

Try to print again.

Still no luck,

Click on Windows Start and find DYMO Label Folder and then click on DYMO Label v.8

When open go to Help > Check for Updates.

If there is any to install do so and reboot the computer and try to print the label again.
