StudioPlus Payments is an optional payment integration powered by Stripe. This add-on is currently only available in myStratus with the Spectra release coming soon. Click here to learn more.

StudioPlus Payments gives studios more flexible ways to get paid online. With Buy Now, Pay Later options, eligible customers can complete their purchase now and pay over time through providers like Affirm, Afterpay, or Klarna.

Buy Now, Pay Later is available through StudioPlus online payment portals, including:

  • Payment Links
  • InspiredByYou (IBY.com)

At this time, Buy Now, Pay Later is not available for manual credit card processing, terminal payments, or other in-person payment workflows.

Note: Because of the nature of buy now, pay later options, they usually incur a higher processing cost from Stripe. Review Stripe.com/Pricing for current rates.

What Is Buy Now, Pay Later?

Buy Now, Pay Later gives customers another way to pay at checkout.

Instead of paying the full amount upfront, eligible customers may be able to split their purchase into smaller payments. The provider handles the approval process, available payment options, and repayment terms.

For your business, it adds a convenient online payment option to break up larger purchases without changing the normal checkout flow.

Available Providers

StudioPlus Payments supports three Buy Now, Pay Later providers through Stripe:

  • Affirm - Available in US & Canada
  • Afterpay - Available in US, UK, Canada, Australia, & New Zealand
  • Klarna - Available in US, Europe, & Australia

Each provider has its own eligibility rules. Availability may depend on your location, transaction amount, currency, and the provider’s requirements.

Because of this, not every customer will see every Buy Now, Pay Later option at checkout.

How to Enable Buy Now, Pay Later

Setup is handled in the Stripe Dashboard and works the same way for Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna.

To enable a provider:

  1. Log in to the Stripe Dashboard.
  2. Go to Payment Methods.
  3. Find Affirm, Afterpay, or Klarna. Click once to open their settings.
  4. Select Enable for each option the studio wants to offer.

Where Customers Find It

Customers can find available Buy Now, Pay Later options during checkout under the section:

Use a Different Payment Method

If Affirm, Afterpay, or Klarna is enabled and the transaction is eligible, the customer can select the option, review the provider’s payment terms, and complete checkout.
