Cropping Images

Stratus gives you the ability to crop your images. 

Setting a Crop

Follow these steps to crop your images:

  1. Open the Workflow hub.

  2. Select a session from the Session List on the right side by single-clicking on a session. The session should have already imported images.

  3. Click Image Viewer on the ribbon to open the Image Viewer.

  4. Click the drop-down arrow under the Crop button on the ribbon and select a specific crop ratio or choose from the following options:
    • Free Crop - No crop ratio, allows free control of height and width of crop.

    • Image Aspect Ratio - Locks crop ratio using the height and width of the image.

    • Crop Off - Turns off the cropping tool.

  5. Click and drag in the center of the crop box to move the box.

  6. Drag the corners or sides of the crop box to resize the box.

  7. Click Save Crop to save the crop.


Removing a Crop

Follow these steps to remove a crop:

  1. Open the Workflow hub.

  2. Select a session from the Session List on the right side by single-clicking on a session. The session should have already imported images.

  3. Click Image Viewer on the ribbon to open the Image Viewer.

  4. Click the thumbnail of the cropped image to see it in the Image Viewer.


  5. Click Remove Crop above the image to remove the crop. Note: The Remove Crop button will only be visible if the image has been previously cropped in Stratus.
