Sorting Images

Stratus gives you the ability to sort your images using the digital workflow. Each session already contains two groups -- All Images and Ungrouped Images. You can add as many groups as you need to organize the session images. Examples include:

  • Ceremony
  • Reception
  • Getting Ready
  • Family
  • Indoor
  • Outdoor
  • For Web

Creating Image Groups

Follow these steps to create groups to sort your images into:

  1. Go to the Workflow hub.

  2. Select a session by single-clicking on it in the Session List on the right side. The session should already have imported images.

  3. Click the Group drop-down in the options section and select Add New Group.

  4. Type in the group name and click OK to save it.


Sorting Images into Image Groups

Follow these steps to sort your images into groups:

  1. Go to the Workflow hub.

  2. Select a session by single-clicking on it in the Session List on the right side. The session should already have imported images.

  3. Click Image Groups on the ribbon to display the groups panel (shown in the screen shot above).

  4. There are two ways to add an image to an image group:

    • Right-click on an image thumbnail, go to Add to Group, and then choose the group from the drop-down list.

    • Select the desired image(s) by highlighting the thumbnails. Then click the Add drop-down arrow on the ribbon and select the desired group.


Removing Images from Image Groups

Follow these steps to remove your images from image groups:

  1. Go to the Workflow hub.

  2. Select a session by single-clicking on it in the Session List on the right side. The session should already have imported images.

  3. Click Image Groups on the ribbon to display the groups panel (shown in the screen shot above).

  4. There are two ways to remove an image to an image group:

    • Right-click on an image thumbnail, go to Remove from Group, and then choose the group from the drop-down list.

    • Select the desired image(s) by highlighting their thumbnails. Then click the Remove drop-down arrow on the ribbon and select the desired group.
